Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) is a state public university, is located in Ara District of Bihar. The University was established on 22 October 1992 by the Bihar University Act 1976. It was named after the well known national hero and legendary freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh.
There are 18 Constituent and 46 Affiliated colleges under this University. This University has earned recognition as a hub of higher learning and research in the frontier disciplines of science, humanities and social sciences. The University conducts Teaching And Learning academic programmes In area such as Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Commerce, History, Economics, Management, Law, Sociology, Geography Etc.
