NTA NEET UG 2024: Online Registration, Eligibility, Last Date

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2024 for admission to undergraduate medical courses. Eligible candidates can apply online at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET from 09th February 2024 to 09th March 2024.

NEET (UG) – 2024 is a pen & paper-based test conducted by NTA for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses. The exam will be held on 05 May 2024. Candidates must carefully read the Information Bulletin before applying.

• Date of Examination: 05 May 2024 (Sunday)

Eligibility

• Age: Completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete it on or before 31 December of the admission year.
• Lower Age Limit:
  • General (UR)/ General-EWS: born on or before 31.12.2007
  • SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ PwBD Category
• Qualifications: Refer to the provided codes for different qualifying examinations.

Qualifications and Qualifying Examination Codes:

1. Code: 01 – Candidates appearing in class 12 in 2024.
2. Code: 02 – Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination.
3. Code: 03 – Intermediate/ Pre-degree Examination in Science.
4. Code: 04 – Pre-professional/ Pre-medical Examination.
5. Code: 05 – First year of the three years’ degree course of a recognized University.
6. Code: 06 – B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University.
7. Code: 07 – Any other examination equivalent to Intermediate Science Examination.

• General: Rs.1700/-
• General-EWS/ OBC-NCL: 1600/-
• SC/ ST/ PwBD: Rs.1000/-
• Payment through Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI.

Selection Criteria

NTA will prepare a Merit List/All India Rank based on qualifying criteria and relevant regulations from NMC/ DGHS/ MCC/ DCI and other bodies.

Syllabus

NEET (UG) 2024 syllabus includes Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. The test consists of two sections for each subject, with a total of 720 marks. The exam duration is 3 hours and 20 minutes.
