Eligibility Criteria for Post Matric Scholarship Bihar
पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग तथा अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति योजना बिहार राज्य के स्थायी निवासी पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति के छात्र / छात्राओं के लिए संचालित है। इस योजना के अन्तर्गत निम्नांकित छात्र/छात्रा प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति हेतु आवेदन के लिए सक्षम होंगे।पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग तथा अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति योजना बिहार राज्य के स्थायी निवासी पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति के छात्र / छात्राओं के लिए संचालित है। इस योजना के अन्तर्गत निम्नांकित छात्र/छात्रा प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति हेतु आवेदन के लिए सक्षम होंगे।
- आवेदक को बिहार राज्य के स्थायी निवासी होना चाहिए। (Applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar state.)
- आवेदक की जाति राज्य सरकार द्वारा निर्गत पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग तथा अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति की सूची में सम्मिलित हो। (The applicant’s caste should be included in the list of Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes issued by the State Government.)
- प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति हेतु संबंधित विभाग द्वारा निर्धारित पात्रता के अनुसार आवेदक सहित माता-पिता / अभिभावक का अधिकतम कुल वार्षिक आय वित्तीय वर्ष 2023-24 के लिए रु० 3.00 लाख तक होना चाहिए। तथा अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति आवेदक के माता – पिता/ अभिभावक के वित्तीय 2023-24 से आय की अधिसीमा 03.00 लाख तक की गयी है। भविष्य में माता पिता/ अभिभावकों के अधिकतम लाभ के संबंध में संबंधित विभाग द्वारा निर्गत आदेश लागू माना जाएगा ।
- प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति योजना के अन्तर्गत मैट्रिक / प्रवेशिका परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद उच्चतर कक्षाओं में अध्ययनरत् छात्र / छात्रा ही छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन कर सकते है।
- एक स्तर का कोर्स उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद दूसरे समकक्ष कोर्स में अध्ययन करने पर छात्रवृत्ति के हकदार नहीं होंगे, यथा- I.Sc. की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद I.A., B.A. की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद B.Com. एवं M.Sc. करने के बाद M.A कक्षा में अध्ययन करने पर छात्रवृत्ति नहीं दी जायेगी।
- पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग में आवेदक के माता-पिता के मात्र 02 (दो) पुत्रों को ही प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान की जायेगी। यह नियम पुत्रियों पर लागू नहीं होगा, किन्तु अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति में यह नियम लागू नहीं होगा ।

What is Post Matric Scholarship?
State scheme for providing scholarship to meritorious students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes studying in post matric class within the state and outside the state, Establishment and Committed Expenditure and Post Matric Scholarship Scheme under Centrally Sponsored Scheme is operated. Under this scheme, scholarship is given to the students studying in a duly recognized college/ university/ Institute. Under this scheme, funds are provided by the State Government and the Central Government.

Distribution of Scholarship
In order to ensure timely payment of scholarship amount to the beneficiaries, the State Government/UT administrations are requested to avoid cash payment of scholarship amount and are required to issue instructions to all concerned that payment of scholarship should be made to beneficiaries through their accounts in post offices/banks. DBT mode should be followed by the States/UTs. Disbursement of Scholarship through Aadhaar seeded bank accounts should be ensured by the States/UTS.

How To Apply For Bihar Post Matric Scholarship
- This Post Matric Scholarship portal is only open for BC, EBC SC and ST students resident of Bihar State.
- This portal is currently open only for Academic year 2023-24.
- Students eligible as per advertisement of Post Matric Scholarship of Education Department, Govt. of Bihar need to apply.
- A student will get scholarship only once for each academic year.
- A student only need to apply only once for one academic year otherwise his/her application will be rejected.
- Before apply check the name of your institution in registered list of institutions.
- Institution need to register first on the portal before you can apply. The institution will be provisionally approved for enabling the student to apply. Only after physical verification by a duly constituted committee of Govt. of Bihar payment will be released.
- Ensure that student bank account is active and is in the name of student only.
- Student applications for Post Matric Scholarship will be verified both by institution authorities and duly constituted committee of Govt. of Bihar.
- 10.Students can register to the portal by providing details such as Name, Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and email etc.
- 11.User ID and Password after successful registration will be sent to registered mobile number.

- 13.After obtaining User ID and PASSWORD login to the portal and complete the form and finally submit the form.

- 15.After completion of the form finally submit the application form on portal and print a copy of the application form for future reference. No Change is permissible after final submission of the form.
- 16.The student application will be duly verified by the concerned institution and it also be physically verified from institution records by a duly constituted committee of Govt. of Bihar. Only after due process laid down by Govt. of Bihar Post Matric Scholarship will be released to the Bank Account of Student through DBT [PFMS].
